Handover and return
Check each asset out and back in, with photos and odometer, add late fees and damage charges, and swap an asset mid-rental.
Hand over
On the booking, pick an asset for every rider (only free ones of that model are offered; one in a different size shows its size), then Hand over.
For each asset:
- Tick the checks: Condition checked, Brakes and controls, Tyres and wheels, Charged or fuelled, Lock and key, Accessories.
- Odometer in km.
- Photos: take them with the tablet or phone camera.
- Notes, like "existing scratch on frame".
The booking is Out and the assets are out with it.
If a rider hasn't signed or has no ID yet, Hand over warns you first (Not everyone has signed) and names who. Get them signed first takes you to the signing, or Hand over anyway.
Return
When it comes back, Return. For each asset: the checks, the odometer, photos, and Damaged if it is (with what's damaged).
- Damage charge: with anything damaged, enter an amount, or leave it empty to charge later.
- Late fee: added by itself when it's back after the grace period: your hourly late fee, per asset, per started hour. See Rental rules.
- Damaged assets go to service. The rest wait under Back in: check before the next rental: press Ready to rent on each once it's checked and cleaned.
Then Complete the booking once everything's settled.
Swap mid-rental
A flat battery, a puncture: on the rider, Swap. Pick the new asset, the reason, and whether the old one is damaged. The old one comes back to be checked; the new one goes out for the rest of the booking.
Charges and refunds
Charge or refund adds to the booking's charges: Damage, Extension, Late fee, Other, Refund, or Deposit returned, with the amount and what it's for.
Refunds and returned deposits are always pressed here. The money goes back the way it was paid: see Refunds and deposits back.
