Staff, team and roles

Two lists, for two different things:

A mechanic who never touches the app is staff, not team. An office manager who books jobs but never does one is team, not staff. Most people are both.

#Add staff

Settings → Staff → Add staff (managers and owners):

• Name
• Role: their staff group: Mechanic, Sales Staff, Rental Staff, or your own (set in Settings → Jobs and staff groups). Job titles are offered only to their group, and online bookings go only to people in the service's group.
• Calendar colour: their jobs and dot on the board.
• Working days & hours: per weekday, or Day off. The calendar shows them only on days they work, and online bookings only use their hours.
• Notes: specialties, certifications, preferred jobs.

Staff are listed by staff group. The arrows set their order, which is the calendar's row order and who online bookings go to first.

Archive anyone who leaves. Their jobs and history stay; restore them from Archived any time.

Your plan sets how many active staff you can have (3, 5 or 10); there's no limit during the free trial. The page shows how many you've used. On Team and Connected, Add a staff seat makes room for one more at A$12 a month. See Extra staff.

#Invite your team

Settings → Team (owner): enter their email, pick a role, Send invite.

• They get an email with a link to join. Someone who already has an account is added the next time they sign in with that email.
• Pending invitations can be revoked until they're accepted.
• Change someone's role from the list, or remove them. Removing a person takes their access away; their work stays.
