Sync with Google and iCloud

Settings → Connected calendars. Events you add or change in either place show up in both.

#Link Google Calendar

Connect next to Google Calendar, sign in to Google and allow access to see and edit events. Leave that box ticked: without it there's nothing to sync.

Calendar asks for your calendar events and your email address (to show which account is linked), and nothing else in your Google account.

#Link iCloud

Apple asks other apps to use an app-specific password, not your Apple Account password:

1. Sign in at account.apple.com.
2. Open Sign-In and Security, then App-Specific Passwords.
3. Create one called "notjust." and copy it.
4. In Calendar: Connect next to iCloud, enter your Apple Account email and the password, Continue, then pick which calendar to sync.

The password is stored encrypted and used only to sync. Revoke it at account.apple.com whenever you like.

#Where new events go

With more than one calendar linked, Make default on the one new events should go to. It's marked New events go here.

#When it syncs

While the calendar is open: when you open it, after each change, and when you press Sync now (at the top, or in Settings). The top bar shows when it last synced, or a problem.

• Events from the last 90 days onwards are synced.
• Repeating events show, but an occurrence can't be edited here: change it in Google or iCloud, and it updates on the next sync.
• Reconnect if access expired or was removed.

#Disconnect

Disconnect stops syncing. Nothing is deleted in Google or iCloud, and events you made in notjust. stay. Tick Also remove events that came from it, or they stay as copies that no longer update.
