#Quick add from the dashboard

The fastest way to log a job, in one row:

1. Car: type anything you know: the plate, the car ("golf"), or the customer's name. Pick it from the list. A plate match comes first.
2. Work performed: "Oil change and filter".
3. Add.

A car that isn't on file: carry on with what you typed and pick New car (the last line of the list). Service guesses the plate (a word with a digit in it), the make and the model from it; check them, add the customer (someone on file, or a new name and phone), and Add. The car, the customer and the record are all created at once.

The car stays picked afterwards, so several jobs on the same car are quick. Mileage, parts and technician can be added later from the car's page.

#Customers

Customers: everyone, searchable by name. Add customer: name, phone, email and notes. A customer's page lists their cars.

#Cars

On a customer, Add vehicle: make, model, year, plate, VIN, colour and notes. Everything but make and model is optional.

#Service records

On a car's page, Add service record:

• Service date and Mileage
• Work performed
• Parts: type a part and press Enter; add as many as you need
• Technician and Notes

Records are listed newest first. Edit any of them.

#Delete

Open a customer, car or service record to edit it, then Delete. It can't be undone:

• A customer takes their cars and all their service history with them.
• A car takes its service history.
• A service record is just that record.

#Dashboard

Total customers, Total vehicles, Services this month, and your recent services.
